Under the Chinar welcomes unsolicited contributions, case commentaries, and scholarly dispatches from legal practitioners, researchers, academics, and law students.

While Under the Chinar welcomes submissions across all jurisdictions; researchers, advocates, and students from Jammu & Kashmir are especially encouraged to contribute. We place a premium on work that interrogates regional public law, asymmetric constitutionalism, and local statutory frameworks with doctrinal rigor and analytical independence.

Guidelines:

All submissions must fall within the prescribed length of 1,500 to 2,000 words (inclusive of contextual references and essential notes). 

Hyperlink statutory provisions, court orders, and judgments directly within the body text using reliable legal databases.

Hyperlink books, policy reports, and journal articles where public digital versions exist.

Files must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
